Welcome to Oxford Pride 2013! Inspired by a street party celebrating the Queen's Golden Jubilee in 2002, Pride has grown and evolved into the event it is today. Thanks in no small part to the continued support of the local Councils, gay pubs The Jolly Farmers and The Castle Tavern, and of course our dedicated an diverse community. Pride is both a celebration of the unity and diversity of our community, and a reflection on how far we have progressed over recent decades in terms of equality and integration. We believe in an inclusive society, where everyone feels accepted as part of our extended family. We invite and welcome everyone to join us in being proud of everything we are, and everything we have achieved together. This year, Pride will be returning once again to Oxpens field, next to the ice rink, with a vastly expanded range of entertainment, concessions and stalls, providing something for everyone. We are open to any feedback you may wish to provide, and hold open meetings on a monthly basis where plans for Pride 2013 are discussed and decided by the community. These meetings are for anyone to attend, and give us the opportunity to take all opinions into account. Meeting dates will be posted in the news section above, or you can join our mailing list to keep updated. To get in touch, simply send us a message via the contact form, or our Facebook page, and one of our committee will get back to you.
